About me 陈争

I am an assistant professor in the Department of Mathematics at University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. I have a Ph.D. degree in Applied Mathematics from Brown University. After graduation, I serve as a postdoc at Department of Mathematics in Iowa State University and then in the Computational and Applied Mathematics Group of the Computer Science and Mathematics Division at Oak Ridge National Laboratory.

My main research interests lie in the field of numerical analysis, scientific computing, and applied mathematics, including but not limited to: 1) High order numerical methods, including Discontinuous Galerkin finite element methods, Spectral methods, etc; 2) Numerical methods for kinetic equations; 3) Multiscale Computational Methods; 4) Numerical methods for uncertainty quantification; 5) Numerical methods for problems with singularities; 6) Post-processing techiniques; 7) Numerical methods for fractional differential equations.

Additionl information about me can be found in my Curriculum Vitae.
