About Leslie 陈争

Dr. Chen is an assistant professor in the Department of Mathematics at University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. Before joing UMass Dartmouth, She served as a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Computational and Applied Mathematics Group of the Computer Science and Mathematics Division at Oak Ridge National Laboratory and as a Postdoc in the Department of Mathematics at Iowa State University. She received a Ph.D. degree in Applied Mathematics from Brown University.

Her main research interests lie in the field of numerical analysis, scientific computing, and applied mathematics, including but not limited to: 1) High order numerical methods, including Discontinuous Galerkin finite element methods, Spectral methods, etc; 2) Numerical methods for kinetic equations; 3) Multiscale Computational Methods; 4) Numerical methods for uncertainty quantification; 5) Numerical methods for problems with singularities; 6) Post-processing techiniques; 7) Numerical methods for fractional differential equations.
