Description

The Tromino Puzzle is to tile a $2^{n}$ x $2^{n}$-checkerboard missing one square with L-shaped tiles formed from three squares. The purpose of this app is to test your ability to discover the algorithm that is used to solve the Tromino Puzzle.

Instructions

The app gererates a random missing square displayed in cyan and the L-shaped tiles are displayed in magenta.

• Click the Start button to display a step-by-step solution of the puzzle. The Solve button will change to a Pause button which can be used to pause the solution process.
• Click the Reset to restart the puzzle with a new randomly gennerated missing square.
• Use the Board Size menu to change the size of the board.
• Use the Solve Speed menu to change the speed of the solution process.
